Books For Kindergarten

It was an exciting moment at McKitrick School, at least for kids in Kindergarten.

Is It Bullying?

With great regularity students are brought to my office accused of bullying someone.  Sometimes the issue is very real and the person is making life very uncomfortable for another person.  Unfortunately there are occasions where a person is accused of bullying when in fact the issue is more accurately described as conflict.

Me To We

Oh! Wow! This fall we have an impressive number of McKitrick School students from grades 4-7 who have joined us for the first two "Me To We" meetings. Actually, they weren't meetings, they were work sessions.

Cross Country

Since it's fall again, you will see students and staff from McKitrick running along the city streets after school.

Yoga With Holly

While we are a relatively young bunch of people here at McKitrick School, we felt it was time to test our flexibility.

Creative Kids

At McKitrick School we have been fortunate to receive a grant for 15 artisitc students to be involved with an intense after school art program.

Family Christmas Carnival

Inspiring Movement

Our teachers are working with Ashley Johnson to examine the impact of increasing movement in the class using the concept of Brain Dance.

Boys Soccer

Soccer got rolling this fall as soon as school started up. Ms. Flegel & Mrs. Hellofs jumped at the chance to coach our talented guys team.
